Fee Payment
Fees must be paid one week before a course begins. Cash, check, money order, and credit cards are accepted.
Make checks payable to Office of Continuing Education. To pay fees by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card, call 800-959-EAST, ext. 203 and provide your credit card information. Registration confirmation will be mailed to you upon receipt of payment.
Discounts
- Indiana University East Alumni 15% Discount
- Members of the Alumni Association are eligible to receive a 15 percent discount on most continuing education classes.
- Senior Citizen 15% Discount
- Senior citizens, age 55 or older, are eligible to receive a 15 percent discount on most continuing education classes.
- Corporate Discounts
- Businesses or organizations that enroll several of their personnel in the same course(s) may be eligible for discounts.
Refunds
A full refund will be made if you withdraw before a course’s registration deadline. A 75 percent refund will be made if you withdraw after the registration deadline but before the first class meeting. No refund will be made on or after the first class meeting. If a course must be canceled due to insufficient enrollment, you will be notified before the course was scheduled to begin and a full refund will be made.
Textbooks
If your class requirements include a textbook, these can be purchased at any local bookstore, or via online book ordering. Please contact the office if you need a specific ISBN number.The Indiana University East Campus Bookstore is located in Whitewater Hall.
Driving Directions
IU East Campus:
From I-70 Take exit 151 (U.S. 27 south). At the second stoplight, you will see the entrance to campus on your left. Turn left and follow the road to campus.
From U.S. 27 Approximately half a mile south of I-70 you will see the entrance to campus on the east side of the street. Turn east and follow the road back to campus. The street address is 2325 Chester Boulevard.
Danielson Learning Center of IU East:
From I-70 Head north on State Road 3 and then turn right on Trojan Lane. The center is on the north side of the street, between the Ameriana Bank and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. The street address is 300 Trojan Lane.
Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
The Tax Relief Act of 1997 (TRA 97) created new tax benefits for families incurring costs for higher education including noncredit workshops and courses. In order for the IRS to determine whether a taxpayer is eligible for benefits under the Act, educational institutions must supply the required information.
