The School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Indiana University East offers several courses within the field of applied mathematics: Finite Mathematics (MATH M118), Applied Linear Algebra (MATH M301), Elementary Differential Equations with Applications  (MATH M313), Elementary Computational Methods (MATH M371), Elementary Complex Variables with Applications (MATH 415), and a two course sequence in Mathematical Models with Applications I/II (MATH M447/M448).  In addition, opportunities for supervised research exist for interested students in Readings and Research (MATH M295), with the permission of a member of the mathematics faculty.

Finite Mathematics (M118) is currently offered Fall, Spring and Summer semesters, Applied Linear Algebra (MATH M301) is offered periodically (check the current schedule), Elementary Differential Equations with Applications  (MATH M313) is currently offered Spring semesters of odd years, Elementary Computational Methods (MATH M371) will be offered Fall of 2007 and every forth fall thereafter, Elementary Complex Variables with Applications (MATH 415) will be offered Spring semester of 2009 and every fourth spring thereafter, and Mathematical Models with Applications I(/II) (MATH M447/M448) will be offered Fall (/Spring) semester(s) beginning in 2009 and every fourth fall (and spring) thereafter.  The Readings and Research (MATH M295) supervised research course is offered periodically, and interested students should contact the NSM Math Coordinator for further information.

Courses in applied mathematics may be applied toward baccalaureate (4 year) degrees in science and mathematics. offered through the School of Natural Science and Mathematics.
