General Admissions
The steps below outline the basic application process to Indiana University East. For more specific admissions criteria to the School of Nursing Programs, please visit our programs page or the Baccalaureate Admission Policy (Effective Fall 2004) for all students applying to the baccalaureate nursing major.
Admission Procedure to Nursing Program
- Apply online or by calling the Indiana University East Office of Admissions.
- Contact your high school and any other institutions of higher learning to request that an official transcript or an official copy of your GED scores be sent to:

Richmond, IN 47374 - Once you have been admitted to IU East, you will be contacted for course registration. At that time you will receive information concerning your program plan. If you have previously completed any college courses, the Office of Admissions will evaluate your college transcript. You will receive a "Credit Transfer Report" from the Office of Admissions.
- Make an appointment with the pre-nursing advisor to review your credits, complete an individual program plan, and register for appropriate courses.
