Ivy Tech Community College Students
Indiana University East has developed the following special programs to assist current or past Ivy Tech students to pursuit baccalaureate degrees at IU East:
Articulation Agreements
With the 2+2 articulation agreements, students may now transfer Ivy Tech associate degrees in Business, Education and Nursing towards a corresponding IU East bachelor’s degree. All other Ivy Tech associate degrees may be credited towards an IU East bachelor’s degree in general studies. Over 90 Ivy Tech courses are now transferable to IU East.
Scholarships
Special scholarships are available for students transferring from Ivy Tech who have demonstrated high potential and motivation to succeed. Recipients must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and transfer in at least 30 credit hours or have completed an Associate's Degree at their previous school. Students may also be eligible for other scholarship awards at IU East.
Financial Aid Consortium Agreement
IU East and Ivy Tech Regions 6, 9, and 11 have established a special financial aid consortium agreement. Under this agreement, current Ivy Tech students may be eligible to receive financial aid for IU East classes.
Dual Admissions Agreement
IU East and Ivy Tech Region 9 have established a dual admissions agreement. Under the agreement, qualified incoming Ivy Tech freshmen will receive a guaranteed offer of admission from IU East, provided that the students will successfully complete a degree program at Ivy Tech. Students admitted under the agreement will be given complete access to IU East services, provided that they are enrolled in at least one class at IU East.
To learn more about these programs, contact the Admission Office. An IU East Transfer Coordinator is also available every Wednesday at Ivy Tech Region 9 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. to answer your questions.
