New and Transfer Student Orientations
New and Tranfser Student Orientation are programs designed to help admitted students enroll at IU East. Our program will familarize you with campus, academic programs and services, and extra-curricular opportuntiies. Orientation is a great way to meet IU East students, faculty, and staff.
Orientation is conducted prior to the start of each semester. Sessions cover several topics introducing new and transfer students to:
- Advising and course registration
- Financial Aid
- Tutorial Services
- Information Technology
- Campus Life Activities
New and Transfer Student Orientation for students enrolling for fall semesters are held during the summer months. Spring Semester New and Transfer Student Orientation programs are held during the winter. To sign up, please call Office of Admissions at (765) 973-8208 or (800) 959-EAST. New Student Orientation for Summer Semester 2008 is June 13th, 8:30am - 2:30pm
New Student Orientation dates for Fall Semester 2008 are:
- Friday, June 13th
- Thursday, June 19th
- Wednesday, June 25th
- Tuesday, July 8th
- Friday, July 18th
- Thursday, July 24th
- Wednesday, July 30th
Each New Student Orientation for Fall 2008 will be from 8:30am - 2:30pm and will begin in Whitewater Hall. New first year students must attend orientation to enroll for fall classes.
Transfer Student Orientation dates for Summer and Fall Semesters 2008 are:
- Wednesday, June 18th
- Thursday, July 10th
- Thursday, July 31st
Each Transfer Student Orientation for Summer and Fall 2008 will be from 5:30pm - 8:00pm and will begin in Whitewater Hall. Transfer Student Orientation is optional for transfer students. Transfer students must meet with an advisor before enrolling for classes. Once an appointment is made with an advisor please contact Larry Johnson at 765-973-8416 and inform him of your appointment, so your transfer credit evalution can be done before the your appointment with your advisor.
