A Calendar for Your Senior Year of High School

It's time to start thinking about going to college, and what you want to study. Do some research on the Web and arrange a campus visit. Here are some online resources you'll want to visit to learn more about what IU East offers:
- Admissions Office-start here by talking with an admissions counselor. Learn about our admission requirements, apply online, and complete our enrollment checklist.

- Campus Tour-get a sneak preview of our campus, buildings, and community by taking our online tour.
- Campus Visits-schedule a campus visit so you can really experience IU East. You can tour our campus, meet current students, sit in on a class, and learn about our academic programs and services.
- Costs and Payment-begin to evaluate how much you can expect to pay for tuition, fees, books, and other expenses.
- Financial Aid and Scholarships-find out more about scholarships, loans, and work-study opportunities that can help you finance your education.
- Majors and Programs-earn an IU degree in more than 40 academic programs including four-year bachelor's degrees, two-year associate degrees, and certificate programs.

Sit down with your parents to talk about how much college costs, and how you're going to finance your education. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it by the March 1 deadline. Contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to learn more about the scholarships available on campus. Complete and submit your Application for Admission (you can apply online).
March, April, May
Take placement exams. Plan your fall semester schedule of classes using OneStart. Meet with your academic advisor.
June
Attend New Student Orientation. Set up your student e-mail account and get your student ID card.
August
Purchase your books at the Bookstore and begin classes.
