The mission of the Information Technology Department is to build a solid and comprehensive technology infrastructure, maintain an efficient and effective operation environment, and deliver high quality and timely services that supports University’s mission in teaching and learning, research, and community services. The IT department provides leadership in long-range planning, implementation, and maintenance of information technology for the IU East campus. It oversees services in academic computing, telecommunication and networking, instructional and classroom technology, administrative computing, and technology trainings. The IT department also coordinates closely with other IU campuses on technology issues. The IU East campus supports multiple platforms such as PC, Mac, Linux and Palm PDA's with computer labs featuring high speed internet access. Wireless network and internet access (Wi-Fi) can also be found across the campus.
