Requesting a "Verification of Enrollment"
Indiana University East (IUE) has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment verification information for loan deferment to our student lenders. Information about what has been shared with your lender is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from the National Student Clearinghouse website.
Loan deferments processed via the National Student Clearinghouse are provided beginning Fall 2007 to the current term. For details about what information has been provided to your lenders, check the National Student Clearinghouse website.

Loan deferments -- prior to Fall 2007 (4078) -- will continue to be processed by the IU East Office of Student Records. Students may request an "verification of enrollment" from the Office of Student Records (Whitewater Hall, Rm. 116). All other loan deferments will be processed by the National Student Clearinghouse.
In Person
Visit the Office of the Student Records (WZ 116), fill-out a Enrollment Verification Request. While most enrollment verification requests can be processed while you wait, you should always allow one working day.
Mail or FAX
Print out the online Enrollment Verification Request, f ill it out, then sign and date it. Be sure to include the following information:
- your name
- your signature (and date of request)
- your student ID number or social security number
- your current address
- a telephone number where you can be reached
- which semesters you want verified
- your expected graduation date (semester and year)
- the complete address of where you want your enrollment verification sent, or
- the name of the company and fax number you want your enrollment verification faxed to

You may fax us your enrollment verification request to 765-973-8288. You should still allow for a 24 hour turn-a-round.
View Your Transcript and/or Current Class Schedule Online
Use OneStart, the university's web-based student information service, to view your IU academic transcript and/or class schedule. In order to use OneStart, you must be a current (or recent) student with a valid network username and password.
