Military Request for "Student Recruiting Information"

In accordance with Federal Statute (United States Code): Solomon Amendment, 10 U.S.C. sec. 983, Indiana University East will provide, upon request, military recruiters with "student recruiting information." These requests are limited to one request per DOD component and may be made only once per term or semester.

For the purposes of complying with this Statute, a student is defined as an individual who is 17 years of age or older and who is currently enrolled at IU East for the semester/term indicated on the request.

The Solomon Amendment defines Student Recruitment Information as:

Recruiters must provide IU East with a reasonable period of time in which to process these requests. Indiana University East has established this timeframe to be ten (10) working days.
