IU East Admission Ambassador Application

Dear Student Applicant,
Thank you for applying for the position of IU East Student Ambassador! We are delighted that you want to be involved with helping IU East grow! Please take the time to read the following guidelines before filling out the below application. If you wish to include letter of reference, please feel welcome to do so.

Admission Ambassadors are granted a scholarship per semester. The amount of the scholarship is equal to a 3 credit hour course.

As an IU East Admission Ambassador you will be representing IU East both on campus and in the local and neighboring high schools and communities.

Admission Ambassador Expectations

  1. Attend mandatory weekly meetings.
  2. Devote on average 4-5 hours weekly to “Admission ambassador duties”.
  3. Assist with on and off campus events (open houses, campus events, career fairs, high school visitations, prospective student’s visitations, college fairs, summer events).
  4. Help coordinate recruitment programs for the campus.
  5. Set excellent example for current and prospective students to follow.
  6. Provide one-on-one communications with personal letters, telephone calls, and e-mails to prospective students.
  7. Possess the following skills: presentation skills, enthusiasm, energy, sincerity, ability and desire to have conversations with other people, friendly, and committed to IU East.
  8. To be eligible for semester renewal you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
