Outreach Scholarships
IU East Commitment-A Promise to Twenty-first Century Scholars
Full cost of tuition, fees and textbooks for four years
Deadline: March 1, admission and scholarship application
Students who participate in Indiana’s 21st Century Scholars
program and are admitted to IU East as freshmen can
supplement their state benefit and Pell Grants with this
scholarship and other available financial aid to cover all costs of
tuition, fees and textbooks for four years. To be considered for
renewal, students must attend full time and maintain at least a
2.5 GPA.
Ivy Tech Region 9 Transfer Scholarships
Deadline: May 1, admission
Students who earned an associate degree within the last five
years at Ivy Tech Community College Region 9 are eligible for
this scholarship. Selection is based on the transferability of
coursework into an IU East bachelor’s degree program and the
student’s Ivy Tech GPA.
Level One: $4,000
($2,000 annually for 2 years)
Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5-4.0 and are
admitted by May 1 are eligible for this admission-based
scholarship. Recipients must enroll full time and maintain at
least a 3.0 GPA. (No separate application required.)
Level Two: $3,000
($1,500 annually for 2 years)
Students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0- 3.49 and are
admitted by May 1 are eligible for this admission-based
scholarship. Recipients must enroll full time and maintain at
least a 2.7 GPA. (No separate application required.)
Level Three: $2,000
($1,000 annually for 2 years)
Students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5-2.99 and are
admitted by May 1 are eligible for this admission-based
scholarship. Recipients must enroll full time and maintain at
least a 2.5 GPA. (No separate application required.)
Level Four: $1,000
($500 annually for 2 years)
Students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.0-2.49 and are
admitted by May 1 are eligible for this admission-based
scholarship. Recipients must enroll full time and maintain at
least a 2.3 GPA. (No separate application required.)
Community College Transfer Scholarships$2,000
($1,000 annually for 2 years)
Deadline: May 1, admission and scholarship application
Students who complete all requirements for an associate degree
at a two-year community college are eligible for this scholarship.
Selection is based on the transferability of coursework into an
IU East bachelor’s degree and the student’s community college
GPA. To be considered for renewal, students must attend full
time and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
IU East Career Enhancement Scholarships $6,000
($1,500 annually for 4 years)
Deadline: March 1, admission and scholarship application
Students who have never attended a four-year college or
university and who graduated from high school at least three
years before enrolling at IU East are eligible for this scholarship.
Selection is based on demonstrating potential for success
through career experiences and letters of recommendation from
employers. Emphasis will be placed on well-rounded students
who can help promote IU East to future students through
participation in new student recruitment and other campus
activities. To be considered for renewal, students must attend full
time and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
IU East Opportunity Scholarships $4,000
($1,000 annually for 4 years)
Deadline: March 1, admission and scholarship application
Students who qualify for a Pell grant and submit their FAFSA
reports by the deadline are eligible for this scholarship. Selection
is based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT scores and other
significant accomplishments. To be considered for renewal,
students must attend full time and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
IU East Diversity Scholarships $4,000
($1,000 annually for 4 years)
Deadline: March 1, admission and scholarship application
Students who demonstrate that they can contribute significantly
to the diversity initiatives of IU East are eligible for this
scholarship. Selection is based on high school GPA and SAT/ACT
scores and other significant accomplishments. To be considered
for renewal, students must attend full time and maintain at least
a 2.5 GPA.
Lingle Scholars $8,000
($2,000 annually for 4 years)
Wayne County students who apply for and are accepted to the IU East
Honors Program are eligible.
