Applying for Financial Aid
You may be wondering if you're eligible for student financial aid. The only way to find out is to apply. It's a free and easy process and we're ready to help you every step of the way.
Applying for financial aid is a three-step process:
- Apply for admission to IU East.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The paper worksheet is available from the IU East Office of Financial Aid and must be completed online. Please note that IU East's Federal School Code is 001811. The FAFSA or renewal FAFSA should be submitted annually by March 10th. The State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI)—the agency that handles state financial aid--has notified Indiana colleges that students and parents MUST put a valid (*checked often*) email address on their 2010-2011 FAFSA to receive updates from SSACI as they will be moving to a PAPERLESS COMMUNICATION PROCESS for students attending higher education for the 2010-2011 academic year .
- New Students will automatically be assessed and contacted by the Admissions Office in regards to their scholarship eligibility. Returning Students should complete the IU East Scholarship Program Application by March 10th to be considered for all general scholarships awarded by outside organizations.
