Indiana University East is seeking applicants for a Disability Accommodations Coordinator for its Student Support Services program.  This is a temporary position which is grant funded through August 31, 2010.  This position assists the Assessment Coordinator in arranging accommodations, maintaining records, and providing services to students with disabilities.  Other duties include learning to use and training students to use assistive technology; interacting with students and university staff to ensure efficient delivery of services; hiring, training, and supervising hourly employees to provide disability services.  An awareness of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is expected.


Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Education or a related field is required.  Computer skills including experience with spreadsheets, database, and word processing programs required; solid communication skills, good organization and problem solving ability required.  Sensitivity to the concerns of students with disabilities required. 


This is a full-time/40 hour per week position requiring a flexible work schedule with some evening hours required.  Full university benefits.  Hourly pay rate $13.14 per hour.  Position is grant funded through August 31, 2010.
