Policy on Student Evaluations of Teaching for
Full and Part-Time Faculty
- All faculty teaching courses in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics will be evaluated by students in classes at least once each year.
- Adjunct faculty will be evaluated using School approved student evaluation forms in each course taught.
- Full-time faculty will be evaluated using School approved student evaluation forms at least once a year.
- Faculty teaching courses in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics will meet with the Dean of the School to discuss student evaluations.
- Adjunct faculty discussions about evaluations will occur after each of the first three semesters at Indiana University East, and every two years thereafter.
- Full-time faculty discussions about evaluations will occur every year after annual reports have been prepared.
- If either the faculty member or School Dean perceives a need for conferences more often, either may call such meetings.
