  • WSSLINKS : Women and Gender Studies Web Sites. WSSLINKS is developed and maintained by the Women's Studies Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
  • WSS CORE LISTS IN WOMEN'S STUDIES: These Core Lists of books in women's studies are intended to assist women's studies librarians and collection development librarians in building women's studies collections. Because the lists include only books currently in print, they also serve as a guide to teaching faculty in selecting available course readings. The focus of the lists is on women in the United States. Each list consists of 20 to 75 titles, and the most important five to ten titles are starred. The lists are updated each January. Titles no longer in print are dropped, and newly published titles added.
  • WSS CORE Serials Project: WSS of the American Library Association, ACRL Division, are working to create a core list of women's studies serials that could stand alongside the topical core lists of monographs that the section has produced for some time. We're asking women's studies librarians/scholars to help us determine which serial titles should be considered core to women's studies.
  • WSS-Women and Gender Studies Web sites: provided by the the Women's Studies Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries of the American Library Association.
  • AWE : Association of Women Educators, located in Australia, through its branches and executive, works actively to further the participation of women and girls in education.
  • Institute for Women's Policy Research: "IWPR's research is not science for its own sake. Although we do not always have control over its use, we hope that it helps to heighten consciousness and to provide credible numbers that can help advocates to mobilize political support."
  • Women's Studies / Women's Issues Resource Sites : is a selective, annotated, highly acclaimed listing of web sites containing resources and information about women's studies / women's issues, with an emphasis on sites of particular use to an academic women's studies program.
  • National Women's History Project: is a multi-purpose site which provides information, events, FAQs and a catalog. An entire area of the site is devoted to Women's History Month.

  • National Association of Women Artists: The National Association of Women Artists, Inc. (N.A.W.A.) is a not-for-profit, non-political, member-supported organization of women in the fine arts, founded in 1889, whose primary purpose is to encourage and promote the creative output of women artists. By seeking exhibition opportunities for its members in the visual arts, N.A.W.A. fosters awareness of the contributions of women artists to the ongoing history of American art."   • Committee on the Status Of Women in the Economics Profession: CSWEP, an arm of the American Economic Association, publishes a thrice-yearly newsletter containing information that will keep you up-to-date about what is happening in our profession.
  • Great Women: The National Women's Hall of Fame's Web site says the site has been created, "To honor in perpetuity these women, citizens of the United States of America whose contributions to the arts, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, philanthropy and science, have been the greatest value for the development of their country."©
  • National Women's History: This site leads to resources, events and catalogs to promote the Women's History Project.
  • WOMEN'S WIRE: On-line news, women's information, and features from Women.com.
  • Biographies of Women Mathematicians: From Agnes Scott College, a collection of facts and information on women mathematicians throughout the ages. Many of the pages were created from student research for the bibliographies. Many other great links!
  • Materials for the Study of Women and Gender from the Ancient World: Diotima serves as an interdisciplinary resource for anyone interested in patterns of gender around the ancient Mediterranean and as a forum for collaboration among instructors who teach courses about women and gender in the ancient world. As you will see, Diotima includes course materials, the beginnings of a systematic and searchable bibliography (with an emphasis on recent work), and links to many on-line articles, book reviews, databases, and images. Ross Scaife and Suzanne Bonefas launched this project in early 1995; since that time it has been developed mainly by Scaife, but with lots of help and contributions from many quarters.   • AWSEM ADVOCATES FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE, ENGINEERING & MATHEMATICS : brings together parents, educators and women professionals in science-related fields to kindle and support young women's interest in science, engineering, mathematics and technology (SEMT).
  • National Women's Studies Association: supports and promotes feminist/womanist teaching, learning, research, and professional and community service at the pre-K through post-secondary levels and serves as a locus of information about the inter-disciplinary field of Women's Studies for those outside the profession.
  • Sisterhood Agenda, Inc: uplifts and aids in the self-development of women and girls of African descent.
  • Sisters Network, Inc.: is a National, African-American, Breast Cancer Survivors Organization committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact that breast cancer has in the African-American Community.
  • The United Nations Division for the Advancement of Women: as part of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) of the United Nations Secretariat, advocates the improvement of the status of the women of the world and the achievement of their equality with men. It aims to ensure the participation of women as equal partners with men in all aspects of human endeavor. It promotes women as equal participants and beneficiaries of sustainable development, peace and security, governance and human rights. It strives to stimulate the main streaming of a gender perspective both within and outside the United Nations system.
  • United States: Women of Today: focusing on service, this organization works with outside groups to aid in fund raising and also provides training programs on communication skills, leadership and self help.
  • Aware: Arming Women against Rape and Endangerment is designed to teach women methods of self protection.
  • The Wishing Well: specifically designed for women-loving-women who have no other way to locate their sisters, as well as for those who simply want to broaden their horizons beyond their local areas.
  • WMU, Woman's Missionary Union: the largest Protestant organization for women in the world, whose main purpose has been to educate and involve women, girls, and preschoolers in the cause of Christian missions.
  • Women As Allies: is a multiracial, multicultural group of women making a conscious effort never to gain social, political, economic or personal success at the expense of another woman.
  • Women for Faith and Family : was formed to assist in distribution of the Affirmation, to foster greater communication among faithful Catholic women, and to be helpful in communicating their concerns to the bishops and other Church leaders.
