Advising

All students who have decided to major in General Studies will be advised initially by Dr. Mary Blakefield, Chair of the General Studies program (Whitewater 101D, 765-973-8252).  A faculty member will then be assigned as your permanent advisor in one of the three concentrations: Humanities and Fine Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences, or Science and Math.

If you are a current student in General Studies and you have forgotten who your faculty advisor is, contact Dr. Blakefield and she will assist you.

Dr. Blakefield will be the advisor for all students who are currently seeking the Associate degree in General Studies. No new students will be admitted into this degree program. However, students who were admitted previously will be allowed to continue in this degree program as long as they are making adequate progress toward completion.
